[Debate] Staff name changes

I do not intend to start a Row, so please be aware you are reading at your own risk, this is a debate about Habbox and it's mainly questioning the way the staff run this place, making it posted in the correct section.

I just hope, most of you will back me up as most forum members who got hacked/scammed/real name want to be changed wanted there name changing got the answer no, and its not fair none-vip staff can get name changes, as they dont pay to become a vip or moderator.

And because Mods dont deserve to be treated like VIPS AND HAVE SPECAIL viewing of the vip forums and have vip rights as they actually did not pay to become a Mod+Vip Member, although most of the new mods are crap and warn u at everything what is on-topic etc.

I do not think it's fair, as Habbox VIP members are the only ones allowed name changes, and yet staff members are an Exeption.

I think the management of the forum should stop this, and only allow them to be changed to there habbo names.

I've seen a few people who are mods and not vip (they could be vip aswell but they would of had the vip badge if so) get name changes just because either they want it to not to say there real name, or to just Excape from members who are bad mouthing them.

Yet, when we the members who help improve this forum gets nothing like this, just because we can not buy vip, or just because we got hacked or even got bad mouthed for scamming and what not, even if you was not allowede to change your forum name from ur real life name you get an answer "NO beat it, vips only" I bet they even say no when your parents tell them to change it as its personal information (and habbox dont allow personal info like Name, Age, Sex to be leaked in a post)

With most of us here being VIP and invested into habboxforum, and our vip membership expired, I think we are entitled to a name change, like you.

I think habbox should lighten there faces up and stop playing habbo every day 24/7 (like Sierk) and then be strict as ---- on the forum.

they should actually allow free name changes for everyone for a limited time.

this way, we wont all be this angry as i am now.

I actually think most of us here are upset for this reason, most of the people i know hate habbox because of it.

Mods arn't VIP. And arn't treated like them. And ALL staff have to pay for VIP. We do not get it for free.

Also, If I dont pay for VIP then I wouldn't be able to view VIP forums [even though Im a smod] staff get name changes to there Habbo names because they need to use there Habbo names to do there jobs.

Staff only get a name change if they need to change to their Habbo Names. It is only Moderators who don't have to have their Habbo Name as their Forum Name, even so, they can't just get a name change because they are staff.. they can only do it if they are VIP or are changing to their Habbo Name.
The only difference is, is that the name change has to be announced, or people might get confused with the changes of names when it comes to staff; "I can't remember that Moderator", as an example.

The majority of what you've written was completely pointless, possibly a very poor attempt at making yourself seem intelligent? Anyway, I'll write this post assuming your question is "why do non-vip moderators get name changes, whereas normal members don't?". The answer is, they don't.

I'm pretty sure Sierk hardly ever (if ever) goes on Habbo.

No-one gets free vip even if you are staff. Moderators do not get VIP stuff either so you have been misinformed.

Sierk doesnt play habbo "too much" infact..hes barely on habbo so get that right too .

Normal forum members are allowed a name change however it has to be their new habbo name or at least one of their habbo names.

Staff need to use their habbo name so that its less confusing when trying to find them. If staff are VIP they still can't get the name change (unless its their habbo name).

Only Admins and vip have access to the vip forums. Mods or staff do not.

This is a habbo forum after all so it will be based on habbo, what more can I say .

You are allowed a change to your Habbo name. Moderators can only change to Habbo names as well unless they ALSO have VIP. We have to give VIPs extra features otherwise what's the point in paying for it? Many VIPs and even non VIPs would contest this.

Right no offense but you're getting in your head that mods are evil people that don't deserve good treatment? However you are completely mistaken when you say that they view the VIP Forums and have VIP rights, they do not, end of. They only do if they bought VIP as well. And you can keep your ideas of mods to yourself. No offense but those mods have been here a lot longer, you haven't even been here a week, you joined THREE DAYS AGO and you are already passing judgement on our mods. I don't think you really have any idea how much these guys put into it, you're just a bit biased as you recieved one infraction according to your post.

Staff members are only allowed name changes to their Habbo names and are actually forced to which I can tell you many a staff would rather do without. You guys can register with a different name and not be forced to use your Habbo name. So dunno what you're talking about there.

You say we should stop and only allow them to do what we are allowing now? You're basically contradicting yourself. Staff can ONLY change to their Habbo name EXCEPT for staff who are ONLY mods and are VIPS as well which means as mods they can have a diff name and as VIPs they are entitled to a name change, just they have to contact their manager who contacts an admin as it has to be announced and all.

What VIP badge are you speaking of? And if they are being harassed that may be a special case. If it is their r/l name we may change it for privacy reasons however usually to their Habbo name. If you could give me some examples and proof I'm sure I can give you a decent reason

Right, I do have to agree members are the heart and soul of Habbox however they do tend to nitpick :p Once again, VIPs pay REAL MONEY therefore have to get special features for their money. Also no offense but you're making all this criticism and representing the people who improve Habbox and we respect your input however where is this input coming from as you've only been visiting 3 days...Firstly why would you register a name giving out your PDs. And we have never to my knowledge been contacted by a parent, or even a person who's name discloses PDs asking for a name change so where did that come from.

"With most of us here"? You've never been VIP and I reiterate a member for 3 days. If we let people keep the VIP features forever we'd have to charge more and it'd be difficult to check who had an old VIP membership anyway.

Many staff don't use Habbo anymore, particularly mods hence them being able to have nonHabbo names and sierk has other things to do that be on Habbo. If we didn't follow the rules as we did Habbox would not be what it was. Some people despise other places because owner's friends don't get banned, mods don't do anything, mods don't edit friends etc. etc. The one thing you cannot deny is Habbox is statisctically proven the most popular Habbo forum on the internet. So I would have to say what we're doing is working.

We actually did for a short time when we changed it so members no longer had to use their Habbo name. So you missed the boat I'm afraid

There you go again, once again, I'm sorry but you're judging Habbox based on three days of visitation. I doubt most of the people you know hate Habbox because members can't get name changes, I doubt you even know many people who hate Habbox but you decided it would be effective.


No offense man but you are speaking for the crowd, and judging us all, and you're probably like the 20th newest member here after 3 days. You've recieved a warning one time therefore are sour at the mods. You judge us all after one encounter with us if you even PMd anyone. I have to say that I don't really think your judgements are justified or really backed up with knowledge of the forum and how it is run. Sorry if it came out rude, I didn't mean it to be. Of course just because your new does not at all mean we do not want your input however we would appreciate it if you would stop judging us after encountering us (us being Admins, Mods, Staff, etc.) like 3 times.

Anyway Sierk doesn't play habbo 24/7 and I think instead of complaining about Habbox that you should sort out ThinkHabbo Flooding everywere, Habbox Staff keep the Site/Forum/Values/HabboxLive/HabboxTV/Articles/News/ etc Running and if they need a Name change and their not v.i.p they should get one, ThinkHabbo Forum is poorly Moderated so don't call Habbox MODS Crap.
