Wife Swap episode axed after death

An episode of TV show Wife Swap has been shelved following the death of a child in one of the families.
Daniel Boughey, 14, died shortly after filming for the Channel 4 show had finished.
His mother, Karen Reece, had volunteered to swap her home in Crewe, Cheshire, to live with a different family in Torquay, Devon, for 10 days.
She was back at home when Daniel, one of three children from a previous relationship, died during his sleep.
She told the Sun: "After we finished filming, Daniel went up to his room to watch television before he went to bed.
"The last thing I said to him was to turn it off because it was past his bedtime. The next morning his brother tried to wake him but he was dead, just lying there lifeless in his bed.
Bosses at RDF Television, which makes the programme, said they were "saddened" by Daniel's death and said the episode would not be transmitted in the next series.
A spokeswoman said: "As a mark of respect to Daniel and his family, post-production of the programme will no longer continue at this time and the programme will not now be transmitted in the current run.
Cheshire Coroner's Office opened and adjourned an inquest into Daniel's death, which happened on September 4. The results of the initial post- mortem were inconclusive.
RDF was continuing to consider the future of another episode of Wife Swap, which ended abruptly when one of the wives claimed she was the victim of a sexual assault. She later retracted the allegation.
