Default Maths Coursework to be ditched

Do you think this is a good decision? I hope the changes will be made by the time I start Year 10
It's because it's to stop 'cheating' in tests and the use of technology helps students gain an unfair advantage over others.

Yep because it means the whole grade depends on the tests as a percentage of the coursework goes to the final mark , I think it is 20 or 30% of the mark the coursework is.

    Default coursework

I'm all for ditching coursework, its pathetic, you can have the most mathmatically advanced mind, but if you're not good at communicating it across, if like me you know the answer for questions in seconds but dont know or cant explain how you
worked them out the coursework makes you fall.
I got a B in GCSE maths, and its due to a poor mark in my coursework as sometimes id try to explain how i worked it out and id just not have a clue what to put even though it sounds stupid, i really was unable to explain what i do to work things out lol...

I think it's a bad idea. It puts pressure on people to do well in the exam, with no backup incase they mess it up. It also tests people in a different way than the exams do.

However, having said that, i thought that the statistics piece of coursework was the most repetitive and tedious pieces of work i've ever had to do.
