    Cool French Verb Rules

    Key: (M) = Masculine (F) = Feminie

    REGULAR VERBS

    When You Look Up A Word In The Dictionary the part of the verb you find is called the "INFINITIVE". Examples are "TO read","TO Stay", "TO See" etc

    Most Verbs follow the same pattern with removing the ending and placing different letters for we, she, you etc.

    VERBS ENDING IN ER
    Jouer - To Play
    Je Joue = I Play
    Tu Joues = You Play
    Il/Elle/On Joue = He/She/We Play/s
    Nous Jouons = We Play
    Vous Jouez = You Play
    ils/Elles Jouent = They (M) / They (F) Play

    VERBS ENDING IN RE
    Attendre- To Wait
    J'attends = I Wait
    Tu attends = You Wait
    Il/Elle/On attend = He/She/We Wait
    Nous attendons = We Wait
    Vous attendez = You Wait
    ils/Elles attendent = They (M) / They (F) Wait

    VERBS ENDING IN IR
    Finir - To Finish
    Je finis = I Finish
    Tu finis = You Finish
    Il/Elle/On finit = He/She/We Finish
    Nous finissons = We Finish
    Vous finissez = You Finish
    ils/Elles finissent = They (M) / They (F) Finish

    IRREGULAR VERBS
    (DO NOT FOLLOW THE REGULAR PATTERN)

    Aller - To go
    Je vais = I Go
    Tu vas = You Go
    Il/Elle/On va = He/She/We Go
    Nous allons = We Go
    Vous allez = You Go
    ils/Elles vont = They (M) / They (F) Go

    You forgot that Ils jouent etc can also apply to a mixed gender not just male.

    Otherwise, a simple basic guide, which most should know, unless your a beginner at French. :rolleyes:

    LOL you're in same yr as me and we just finished verbs, so u must be doing exact same things as me x]
