Red iPod for AIDS

I thought this was pretty nice.

Apple came out with red for the new iPod nano, and apple is giving 10$ of every purchase to fighting AIDS funds. Obviously there are bigger funds, but seeing as apple is a huge superpower and thousands of people will be getting the new nano, I thought it was a nice gesture.

Random, I know, but I thought it was a good idea.

yeah i saw this on Oprah today :]!

theres alot of other things they're selling too for AIDS, http://www.joinred.com/home.asp shows what they're selling for it.

i think it's a really good idea... & im gonna buy some of the red stuff soon.

Its definatly my color. If I were to get one (which Im not) that would be the color I'd get.

I red about this earlier

I think it's great that Apple have followed suit and introduced a (Product)RED item, and it's brilliant that money will go to charity. However, it isn't much money to be honest; a little bigger donation would have been better.

I'm also disappointed that this has come out a month after the 2G Nanos came out. I went straight to the Apple Store and bought a blue one, although red would have been so much better for me. Plus that way, some of the money I spent would have gone to charity.

Its a bit more money than you think. Apple has millions (Im assuming) of buyers all over the world. If 100,000 people buy one (very reasonable), thats a million dollars. And seeing how christmas isnt that far away, if they keep this thing going a while, thats A LOT of buyers.
