    Default iPod Video

    Very recently I decided to purchase an 'iPod Video' with my birthday money.

    During the first few days I just used it to browse and listen to my music collection; but then wanted to put on some videos.

    I converted them all correctly using videoara, added them to the itunes library, and transfered them to my iPod accordingly. The videos I put on were multiple episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, andthe movie Dodgeball. Both were now .mp4 format - but only the Fresh Prince episodes would play. Whenever I tried to play Dodgeball (or any movie) the screen would just go all black and after a couple of seconds return to the menu screen.

    If anyone could help me solve this problem (get me to play movies) I would be really greatful.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sam

    * Runtimes

    Fresh Prince Of Bel Air : approx. 20 mins

    Dodgeball or any movie: approx 90 mins

    a) Have you enough space? and b) Maybe you have to buy the fuill length movies from the ipod site ? I'm not too sure mate the dodgeball is quite a big file judging by the time it's playing, i'd say about 500mb ish, if that helps

    The full movie videos are probably too big, and there isn't enough space for them?

    It can't be becuase it's too big, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to get it on his iPod in the first place.

    I can only think that you've downloaded a bad file, or haven't ripped it from a DVD properly. Can the file play on your PC?

    Thanks for all you replies.

    First of all: yes they do play on my pc and I do have more than enough room on my iPod.

    I'll have to look on the iPod site, thanks for helping.

    I have about 4 full films on my iPod, plus a few friends & family guy episodes, plue alot of music videos. So i doubt there won't be enough room for the film your wanting. I'd just try converting it again.
