360 Chipped

Im having my 360 chipped for Xmas - it costs 50 quid but you can buy the games for 2 quid after that. Anyone else had this done? If so what have your experiences with it before i make a final decision? Ty

I probably wouldnt recommend getting the 360 chipped. As since there are overheating problems as soon as yours needs fixing microsoft wont do anything about it as your warrenty will become void.

I had the 1st xbox chipped and I got the games my self and ended up with around 200 games but it gets boring playing on your own and you want to go on live.

So if you dont want to go on live and have some money just incase your 360 does stop working then go for it.

There are fairly large risks and as has already been said warrenty is void and you cant go on live

Yeah, the idea of having no Live would throw me off.

if you lot knew the facts you wouldn't be so negative.

Its not chipping, you get the drive flashed so its undetectable on live.

But voiding the warranty put me off

Well if you would know... you can go on live plus its not a chip just a modifyed firmware you can do it your self easy

No matter what you do to your 360, microsoft will find out and ban you from using xbox live, and it will not just ban the account but the 360.
