Default Where i've been and why I haven't posted in such a while...

Well.. I got admitted into the Sheffield childrens for anorexia nervosa. My BMI was 12.4 and they said I wouldn't last much longer. Then for nine weeks I spent time on bedrest being fed by a ng tube (through the nose, because I refused to eat the disgusting food at the childrens). Then two and a half weeks ago, I was admitted into Oakwood childrens centre and i'm now on the road to recovery.

My advice for people on here: NEVER OVERDO THE DIET, IT CAN KILL!

I thought it wouldn't happen to me, but it did. I had to spend my birthday in bed. Also, i've had to switch on to a VERY High calorie diet since moving to oakwood (4 meals and 5 protein shakes a day).

But to people on here, please please rethink about going on a diet. As mine nearly killed me.

Good advice but who would overdo a diet? Surely you should have a target to get down to and stop there for awhile?

Anorexia Nervosa is not all about overdoing it when dieting though, this is often a result of the illness rather than the cause; no one really knows the cause, though there are a few theories.

Not really, anoriexia is more than just a 'diet gone wrong', in most cases it also involves biochemistry, genetic and psychology factors to name a few.

Yep, your right Sea but it originally occured after overdoing a diet..

At this place though I get therapy on challenging my fear of things.
