    Dont Use SMF, I Hate it! It dont give u alot of things that phpBB Does.

    They both suck to be perfectly honest. I would recommend 'Invision Power Board' the latest edition, or the commercially exploited 'vBulletin'...

    phpbb 3.0 oliuimpus or somthing, is good.
    the older versions probably around the same as SMF, so its opinion there.
