WoW Pets.. Hunter advice needed

Allo chums, an old friend here popping in on a new account.
I am playing WoW now (oh dear LORD why?! WHY?!?!) and i have a level 15...or 16 (i forget) hunter with a tamed owl by her side. I was wondering, could i have my owl (named Stout, hence this user na... yes i think you got it) AND an additional 'pet' owl from the tamer in darnassus? Could i walk along with BOTH owls flying with me? Or is that a no no? Only one at a time?

But to your question:

Yes if you buy and owl from darn and summon it you have both but you do know that only the tamed one "stout" will attack the other one just follows

One is an attack pet, the other is just a thing that follows you.
