apparently it's dropping again... which usually happens right before newer better armour comes out

It's been dropping, and will continue to drop, because people are realising that it sucks.
Full dragon used to be for show offs to show that they had money, but now the chain is pretty cheap, it's not worth showing it off. There's no real use for it once you're able to use barrows.

I think the aftermath of the hunter skill hasn't worn off yet and people will continue to sell it for cheap. If Jagex wanted to ruin the price of it they would make it drop more often and add more things that drop it. The price will drop and go up again; it's the same with every item. Some items recover faster than others.

And i'm into looks personally i prefer to look good in drag then to look powerful but ugly in barrows =\ plus barrows is worth nothing.
