    Default "Thumbs.db"

    What does a Thumbs.db file do, and how do I add one into my Template?

    It's a file used by Windows to cache the thumbnails of images, it isn't important and doesn't need to be uploaded to your server. There is no way you can associate it with your "template".

    Well i was gona exsamplian and say you dont want one, but joshua has kinda already done that in detail.. so the one question left, Why would you want to add a thumbs db to your template??

    It is used for things. i bet you have used made your site with front page. its thumbnails/ database sort of file.

    You can stop windows caching your thumbnail images by going into "View" under "Folder Options", and checking "Do not cache thumbnails".

    It's used by Windows Explorer (if you're in thumbnail view), but useless to anything else.

    I downloaded a template from Zymic, and wondered what it was for, and if I needed it.

    And I use Dreamweaver, not Frontpage. ;l

    The person who zipped it didn't have thumbnail caching disabled, so the thumbnail cache was zipped too. You don't need it.
