If you intend to keep for a while, then yes. Theres no point having one if your gonna get scared at losing money if they go down a few mil and then sell at a loss.

There is tunsss of people that are stocking up on santas for the 20-25 of december, it would be smart to stock up too, but theres downsides. I don't believe that many people will buy santas near Christmas because everyone will want to make profit and overcharge.
