Depends if you have actually seen these people and talked on webcam. And then you HAVE to meet them.

I have e-dated. It lasted 9 months, and i never met them, but, hopefully i'll meet them ^_^

But, if you have trust, and you can meet up and stuff, then they'll work.

Same as dateing a pen pal, long distant realtionships tend to have problems even when people know each other, without ever meeting i dont belive you can have a "real" realtionship "/

It's not really 'sad' because relationships can come from it, and I guess it has it's advantages so you can actually get to know the person better inside, and looks won't matter as much as it normally would.

But I think e-dating on Habbo is sad, where it lasts for like 3 days..

Not really, on the internet you only get a very narrow view of who someone is, you never get to see them and how they react with real life, knowing somone on the net is not the same as knowing them in real life.

Hence why it can be abused by sex offeneders since its so easy to control what aspects of your personality you show. All you really get to know on the net is an allius, you can know a person properly unless you actualy meet. 90% of communition is non verbal, so you cant really claim to know someone "/
