    Default Scheduled Tasks Help

    Hi I work on a Vb forum and it was recently trashed by someone (I think its against rules to name) anyway I was wondering how to schedule database backups so they get emailed somewhere I have tried and failed +rep if you help

    Wouldn't the email be overly large? Anyway thas quite i tall order in my opinion probley better asking on vbulletin.org

    Problem with that is that i and the other admins will forget be easier to to it via emils or get it to backup onto th server automaticaly

    this happened to me the once..

    And what if one day your host goes down.. can you ever get all the info back or is it gone for ever?

    You can create a cron job to run the vb_backup.sh file (You can find this in the do_not_upload folder in the VBulletin zip file you downloaded from the members area).

    Your hosting (if its decent) takes a backup each day, so if your 'hosting' goes down your company would have a backup anyway.
