Trading Bumps !

For forums like 'Trading' and other game trading forums.

You should be able to post a bump to bump you're thread up again without getting a 'Infraction'.

I find it a pain to make a new thread. So it'd save people making 2 threads about the same thing.

I reckon this will help Traders alot.

If we authorise that people will start making a lot of pointless posts just to get their post count up, and when they get into trouble for it they will moan that they were just bumping their thread.
As far as I can tell Trading works relatively well on the Forum as it is, I don't think introducing that idea would be a good thing.

People can do that easly anyway? Congrad all the level ups in runescape, say hello to all the new members, etc etc. So not allowing it isnt, stoping post count pumping, that just goes else where. all it actualy is doing is makeing life for proper users harder "/

I don't really think it matters if people want their post count up. Post count means nothing.

I think it would be annoying though if everyone started bumping threads because they want quick deals or w/e.

Yes I know they do, but if we did authorise the bumping of threads - people would start doing it in order to get their post count up and then as MAD says, it will start getting annoying.

If we allowed people to bump it, they would bump it again and again to be on top. Take two members, one selling doormats one selling yukkas. Yukka person bumps there's to top so it shows, doormat person bumps theirs so it shows, yukka person rebumps to have it show first, etc. etc. It wouldn't work.

I dont think it matters if people want 1000000 posts, what do they gain out of it :p?

People are respected for useful / constructive posts not 1 word posts.
