Err....Help?

I've known about NP for blooming ages I always used to make accounts but I never really understood it...I see people here with like 1m+ NP and when I used to play it, I thought having 1k NP was rich.

Is there like a beginner guide or whatever on it? also, does anyone know a decent way to make money?
