Default Carlos Edwards signs for Sunderland for £1.5M!

Winger, Carlos Edwards has been transferred from Luton to Sunderland for £1.5 million. Just in time for our FA Cup fixture! Just hope Mike Newell doesn't do anything with the dosh before Saturday! :eusa_danc

urgh you're joking. our best player - our main hope of staying up, and we've sold him. still though, he only cost us 50,000 and only had him 18 months so good profit. it bloody better go towards a new stadium though, but we won't be needing a new one if we're in league one i guess :/

Having joined Luton from Wrexham on a free transfer in the summer of 2005, Carlos's fantastic form and versatility sealed his place in Mike Newell's team and propelled him to the FIFA World Cup in Germany, where he played all three of Trinidad and Tobago's group matches with distinction.
Carlos has enjoyed a great start to the current Championship season, scoring six goals and creating many others.
In total, Carlos has made 74 appearances for the Hatters, and scored eight goals.
The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Carlos for his services to Luton Town and wish him all the best for the future.

Still reckon you'll stay up. If you can hold on to Vine (which I'm sure you will because Newell won't be stupid enough to let him go, leaving you with virtually no fire power up front) you'll still be here next season. I'm sure the money will be well spent...but hopefully not too soon

Bare in mind you still have 25 days after the cup tie to put the dosh from Edwards to good use. It'll be a tight battle but I reckon you'll be safe...unless you go on another 'post-sol davis stroke' run.

well then buy a football club, pay all the wages, find and pay for a manager who can find an amazing player for nothing and you can have it.

is 1.5 million a fair price? I have an idea Sundelrand shouldn't have paid over a million for him.
Next match: Ipswich (H) Sunday 4th November, 12.45pm.
