Crafting Help!

Hey,

I need some help on crafting (Pottery) Where do i do this? / get the clay???? HELP!

Pottery is one of the basic parts of Crafting, and a good way to raise your Crafting level from 1, though the items you manufacture can easily be bought.

To make pottery, mine Clay from various mines, and use them with water (Bowl of Water, Bucket of Water, etc.) to make Soft Clay. Use this Soft Clay at a Pottery Wheel to mold a piece of pottery and then use it at the nearby Kiln to finish the pottery piece.

A potter's wheel and kiln can be found in the Barbarian Village, Sophanem, and the Crafting Guild. XP gain is split evenly on clay working and finishing.

i hate to see people in distress, so i'll do what i can, hopefully it'll make sense lol


the best place to get clay from is the mining spot thats south west of varrock, near the champions guild i think. they are near the top of the spot and kinda resemble gold rocks (if you know what they look like)

you mine as much clay as you need. then you mix the clay with buckets of water, 1 bucket per clay to get some soft clay

now, to make something from this clay you need to walk to the barbarian village. there in one of the southern buildings you will find a potters wheel and a furnace.

use the soft clay on the potters wheel then pick the item you want to make, and continue till you have the desired amount.

before you can use the item, you need to fire them. to do this you use the item with the furnace, where one of two things happens:

1) the item breaks in the oven and you dont retreive it (can sometimes happen with pots)

2) the item fires successfully and you retrieve the item where you can then use it for the desired purpose
