Default Tips on writing a Novel

    Hello,
i thought i'd write a few tips on writing a novel

    • Have a beggining, middle, end
    • Try and grab the users attention, right at the beggining
    • When writing speach, use seperate lines*
    • Use your imagination - don't write about boring things
    • Before you start - plan it our, on a spider diagram
    • Before you start - try and think of what type of story out of the 7**
    • Make sure you have gaps in between major events so it's not just - then he went to toliet, then went to sleep***

    * For example
    "Hello Callie" said bob
    "Hello Bob!" said callie
    - This makes it easyer for the user to read

    **,
Aparently, there are only seven plots in the whole world, i don't know them, and i can't find them. But i heard it somewhere,
i think it's like, jeasuly, family affairs, murder, war,

    Don't know though..

Hope this helps you in the future..

EDIT: *** He got up and walked over to his dresser. He laid down the 9mm pistol and then went to bed.
    *
The next day he woke up with the sun shining through the the gaps in the blinds...
Would be a good example, thanks jacko
    Thankyou
    Iggy :8

    Talking lol

Yeh they're very good tips for when people would like to write stories here.
Maybe you should try to find those 'seven things'.
Then people would have more to think about when writing.
They'd begin to stick more imagination into what they're writing.

When there is a change of time you should do something like:

He got up and walked over to his dresser. He laid down the 9mm pistol and then went to bed.
    *
The next day he woke up with the sun shining through the the gaps in the blinds...
