Default Ashley young turned Hammers down?

    Ight!

It has been reported that Watford striker Ashley Young turned down moving to the Hammers.

Watford and West Ham had agreed on a fee that could reach 9.75 Million but it has been said that Ashley Young turned down the chance.

It sounds strange as he is a good young striker and Watford are surely going down this season, doesn't he want to play for a premiership team, maybe with the striker situation at West Ham, he doesn't want to get involved.

West Ham have a good amount of strikers and maybe he thinks it would be hard to get a place against Marlon Harewood, Dean Ashton, Teddy Sheringham, Bobby Zamora and Yossi Benayoun also starts up front sometimes.

Or maybe he's a Watford man and wants to be loyal.

It's all a mystery to me but hopefully it will be resolved in the next few days.

    Hope you enjoyed.

    Post your thoughts.

It's not hard to get a place up against Teddy, we never play him. He's the old man of the team (plus he isn't allowed to take his walking stick on the pitch )

    Sherringham is crap anyway.
Both West Ham and Watford are going down anyway, he should join a higher league team, maybe Middlesbrough?

Its a move sideways for him as both clubs are scrapping it out in the relegation places. He probs wants a move to a "safe" prem league club.
Next match: Ipswich (H) Sunday 4th November, 12.45pm.

He rejected Hammers because they're going down. And 9 million for Young, pft please!
Also known as that charming, handsome, young fellow SHEEPY.

Boothroyd reckons he's the best winger outside the top 4 clubs.

He rates him highly but 9 million is still overated IMO.
