    Erm Im making a fansite for one of my favourite bands and in the header I want to include a media player.. but is it ok to play one of there songs there or not? I know I cant offer downloads but is just playing it allowed?

    Well, you'll probably need to check that out with some kind of law-y person first. The thing with illegal music is, you can play it on say, Winamp radio and no one would suspect you of being illegal, but if it's on a tribute website, the band's agent or whoever will probably be looking for a lawsuit anyway. Ever seen This Is Spinal Tap? Maybe their manager is a complete b* like theirs.

    I think it is ok. Some bands can be strict. I mean like Good Charlotte they have even stopped people having their lyrics.
