Slayer monster help

I gotta kill Turoth for my slayer task, on tip it it says: You also must kill the with a leaf-bladed spear .....
Do i have to use the spear and he got low hp or gotta atk it all the way with the spear ?

You have to use the leaf-bladed spear to cause any damage.
Or you can use broad arrows if you're ranging, or slayer dart if you're maging.

What rashelly said is right but i advice using the burthrope om turoths, i dont find them good exp
