How do you get pets?

Hello, Im a hunter on WoW, and I see people with pets. But how do I taim them?
Do I need to reach a sertain level? Do i need to be tough it?

Im pretty sure you need to be level 10 to get the quest

You get a quest from your hunter trainer at level 10. It tells you how.

For hunters, you get a quest at level 10 to catch your pets (beasts). Warlocks can also catch pets with 'Enslave Demon' but as you should be able to tell be the name, you can only catch Demons. And you can only keep them enslaved for 5 minutes until they turn on you. Warlocks also get a different main pet every 10 levels, which you need to do a quest for. Level 1 + (I think) is an Imp, Level 10 is a Voidwalker, Level 20 is a Succubus, Level 30 is a Felhunter, Level 40 is a Felsteed (which serves as your Warlock free mount) and a Felguard if you've spent your talent points in Demonology. I think I'll stop now, you're a hunter, not a warlock. :p
