Replace The Report Infractions Thread

I know loads of people go on about infractions, i think the report an infraction thread is pointless and biast.
If you get an infraction and report it, 90% of the time, mods will not reverse it, possibly it could of been fair OR the mod might not want to offend the mod/admin who gave the ifnraction because they are friends.

Because of the 2nd reason i think there should be a different system about unfair infractions and a fairer way that they would be resolved

Although the system used could do with a couple of screws tightening i dont think theres a better way an unfair infraction can be dealt with.
We can reverse infractions if we feel they are too harsh and we do not buckle to pressure from other moderators or other users, i know i am completely unbiased when i deal with a reported infraction as often ive never even met the user over the forum and therefore can have no negative or positive opinions either way.

Although there is a close community within the moderating team which is needed for the amount of teamwork we get done we do not let opinions get in the way of reviewing an infraction.

I disagree. Mods and S Mods work as a team, and a surprising amount of Infractions/Warnings actually aren't touched because - simply - they are fair. Whilst in any system we can't rule out bias, it's highly unlikely - and if you believe it is so then there are ways to voice your concerns.

And only a very small percentage of Infractions are reported anyway... I believe the system is sound.

yes true, im not saying none of infractions given arent fair, just some are unfairly left and unremoved

Actually, you probably just believe they're unfairly left. I mean, think about it. You know the full facts only on Infractions you have personally reported - you can't, in all fairness, comment on other people's, as much as it may look like they are in the right.

Well in all fairness your a MOD you benefit from the ifnraction system as it favours MODS, so in fairness your opinion would be bias =)
