At around 1700 GMT, (1900 Local Time I think), white smoke appeared from the Sistine Chapel. This signifys the election of a new pope. Someone who will lead 1 billion Catholics on Earth.
Who will it be. We should find out asap!

Joesph Ratzinger - A 78 year old German who was the best friend of the late John Paul II.
His Papal Name will be:
Benedict XVI

I'm not religious, but I would of thought they'd choose someone young.

They started electing (The Conclave) on Monday. And after about 4 votes, the Pope was chosen. It has to be chosen by at least 2/3 +1 of the vote and can last for weeks. This pope was chosen in 24 hours!
