I really need some more confidence I haven't got much anymore, it's getting a problem, I can't even phone my own mates to chat to them on phone so I just text Dem, We went to town to pull some girls but I didn't even talk to the girls who came to talk to us I just feel pathetic, any ideas on how to become more confident?

i have the same problem, i really hate speaking on the phone so i text as much as possible. for the confidence problem there is nothing much you can do except really push yorself everytime you feel shy or whatever and it gets easier.

When I started Secondary school I had no confidence.
All you need to do basically is to dont worry about things...
For example when I changed style ect. ect.
I thought to myself if they dont like it. Tough.
THats the way I think about it imo.

All through primary school I was really shy and stuff. Now I don't shut up and could make conversation with an empty room! Hehe. Confidence really is something you just have to work on and build upon - and I'm a living example of it really.

I used to hate being the centre of attention etc. and now I love being up on stages etc. in front of people and stuff.

The way I got over it... was basically just thinking about it all, lol. I realised that life is pretty short and everything in it really is precious. I thought that there was no point being shy and reclusive all my life, because ultimately it wasn't going to get me anywhere.

Therefore, I just pushed myself. When I was in groups etc. I just tried to talk to everyone and did my best not to sit back and stuff. Gradually, over time my confidence really has grown and now I'm one of the most confident people in my school - haha.

I just don't care about what people think of me to be honest. They can either like me or hate me - that's their choice, but I am who I am and I'm not going to change that for other people, just because they can't accept you.

Ways to build your confidence, are going to clubs and stuff. You could maybe join some sort of afterschool club like football, or badminton or even a computer one or something. That way you'll be with other people who share the same interests as you - so you've got something to talk about already!

if you try to change something about yourself; like get a cool haircut, or lose weight or buy some new clothes etc, for the better, that might make you more confident.

i got way more confident when i lost weight.
