i'd like to get to 50ish - what's best way & location to do so?

I caught ferrets from 29 to 60, so it's pretty good. You have to finish that quest though.

do i need any fancy clothing to make catching the ferrets easier?

I did tropical birds till 43, then the falconry kebbits after, worked pretty well.

the best method i would advise is to only catch kebbits using the deadfall method.... on my old acc i got upto razorbacked kebbits...and believe me tracking those aint fun, it takes ages and sometimes they get away aswell

for the best xp i would suggest doing the following:

going to karamja and trapping horned graak till 43
then going to the falconry place to catch spotted kebbits. if you bank all the furs you get you can make a nice amount of cash from selling the capes that can be made from them :]

you could do that till 47 then go to the desert to catch orange salamanders till 50

I got 33-60 in one weekend, do salamanders till 53 hunting then normal chinchompas.
