Default Orient Sign Gary Hooper + Ryan Jarvis.

Martin Ling has boosted his striking options with the signing of Gary Hooper from Southend United.

The former Grays man joins on-loan until the end of the season and will go straight into the squad for the game with Oldham on Saturday.

Hooper, 19, can be recalled with 24 hours notice by the Essex club. The youngster has made just two league starts this season whilst making a further 13 appearances from the bench.

Martin Ling has pulled off a magical piece of business by keeping hold of on-loan striker Ryan Jarvis.

Jarvis, 20, has been in sensational form since arriving at Brisbane Road and has been the catalyst for Orient`s recent good run.

The Fakenham born striker has scored 5 goals since making the move to E10 and Ling is delighted to have secured his services for the rest of the season.

Ling said: "Ryan has been superb over the last four weeks and his goals have been very important for us. I'm thrilled that we've been able to extend the loan and I hope he can continue to have such a big impact."

    We are staying up.
