Police

Firstly, I aint sure if its the right place but anyway..

I want to be a Police officer when I'm older and I've talked to a few teachers and visited the Metropolitan Police website to become a Police Cadet - (voluntary work for I think youngest 14 and oldest 21) and my mentor (helper teacher) has connections everywhere so she said she will hook me up with an interview type thing, but the main question I want to ask is if anyone here is a Police Cadet? If so what is it like? And if you do know any more infomation please reply and I will rep people with good posts.:rolleyes:

The Police Cadets role is to like e.g. Go into a shop and see if they will sell you stuff which they shouldnt such as alchohol (sp?) etc.. Also you get a card n stuff official thingy, uniform etc :p So yeah, stay kl..

its exciting at first but then it gets plain boring.

Yes, my brother is a police cadet. He enjoys it a lot and also like going out to do "test purchasing" (that's trying to buy scratch cards, alcohol etc). The police is a good career to get into. When you're old enough you get given a car, pension scheme and cheap housing.

Also, the starting pay for community support officers is 24k a year so go for it
