    Default Carlisle 1-1 Huddersfield

Another awful game at Brunton Park where the wind, and the referee spoilt the game. Two inconsistant sides lined up against each other and showed that during the game. Carlisle couldn't capitalise with the wind behind them in the first half and went behind on 26 minutes when luke Beckett glanced a header in to the bottom-right corner. Carlisle were level on the stroke of half time. A Jeff Smith free kick was challenged in the air by Danny Livesey against Matt Glennon and Garner was underneath it to score his 4th goal for the Cumbrians.

The second half was much more quiet in the way of goalscoring chances, but the referee certainly made his mark. Zigor Aranalde had the best chance of the half when his powerfully driven free kick was saved by Glennon. In the 90th minute, Garner, who had already been booked, had beaten the offside trap and was running for the ball towards the edge of the 18 yard box. Glennon came out and challenged Garner, sent him to the floor and Brunton Park went up to call for a red card for Glennon. Instead, the referee took a yellow card out of his pocket and gave Garner his second yellow of the game and he was off. The whole of the ground saw the challenge, so I don't know what the referee saw :@.

Carlisle: Westwood, Raven, Livesey, Murphy, Aranalde, Johann Smith (Gall 46), Joyce (Lumsdon 79), Thirlwell, Jeff Smith, Garner, Graham (Holmes 79).

    Subs Not Used: Williams, Gray.
    Sent Off: Garner (90).
    Booked: Thirlwell, Garner.
    Goals: Garner 45.

Huddersfield: Glennon, Holdsworth, Mirfin, Sinclair, Taylor, Taylor-Fletcher, Worthington, Collins, Schofield, Beckett, Hayes (Booth 69).

Subs Not Used: Eastwood, Hudson, McIntosh, Young.
    Booked: Taylor, Taylor-Fletcher.
    Goals: Beckett 26. Att: 6,629

We never really looked like winning . And don't worry our play-off ambitions have been gone for a long time .

We definitely weren't going to win with Johann Smith playing. God he was awful today, he made one good run I think. Rest of the time he gave the ball away or wouldn't challenge.

If we play anything like we have recently, that'll never happen. We need Murray, Hawley and Hackney back from injury very soon if we are to have any chance of making the play-offs.

Lol, yeah. What i can't see with chris Lumsdon is that he was quality for us last season, but this season he's suddenly turned bad :s. Plus, he didn't give Holmes enough of a chance bringing him on that late.

We could do with signing Kenny Deuchar, if Simpson was still here he would have snapped him up probably. Is he on loan at Northampton? That's what they said on The Championship this morning .
