Braces - How long do you have them on for :S

I have got braces, and have had them on for about a year now.
I still have 2 gaps where teeth were taken out for my teeth to be straigtened.
But in the last 2 months, they have realy been iratating (Mainly Rubbing), so does any 1 know how long you have braces on for?

i think i need braces soon, i was told i'd have 'em for 18 months but idk if it varies or w/e.

It varies from person to person, depending on how much work you need doing on your teeth. I've had mine on for 32 months now, so imagine how I feel If they're rubbing you should have been given some small sticks of wax to stop it, so use them.

Varies by people, I had mine for 7 months, now my teeth are perfect.

I hate braces they get really annoying The weird thing is when i went to the dentist he said i should be brushing my teeth better now i have braces then my orthodontist said i've been doign really well with cleaning :s

I think its about 18 months

I belive my dentist more as hes the owner & top dentist, normaly when u get teeth took out, u normaly feel sumin, but cos hes has loads of experience, he can do it fast & un-painful
