Do Flash Applications! It would be something different and more exiting for yourself.

Hard choice, would be better to do both but I'll just say layouts for now.

i would go for layouts, layouts allow you to be more creative with your skill

Both, the main reason is.
It adds more range.
If you just go for one, if you get people wanting to buy off you they will just go for that area, where as you'll get more people wanting you if you do the other.
I hope that made some sense.
