    Add this to the begining of your template:
    <div style="background: #colour here#">

    and this at the end:
    </div>

    Or make a .html file and use this code:
    HTML Code:
    <html>
    <head><title></title>
    </head>
    <body style="background: colour here">
    <?PHP
    $number=10;
    include("/home/www/Path to your news goes here");
    ?>
    </body>
    </html>

    Why make a div in the template when you can put pure CSS?
