    I have a modem and there's no ethernet port on the back.
    There's one of my PC tho so If I connect up to the net and plug it into the pc will it still work.

    Im getting my 360 in May 21st
    No longer active on here

    No it won't, you need a router or a Ethernet Modem. Xbox 360 will not work directly from your pc's ethernet.

    You can do it the way you said but it is more complicated than it sounds you need to share your internet connection and I have no idea on how to do that but you can not use XboxLive & your internet on the pc at the sametime.
    Go to www.xbox.com to find out about that. ^

    Or buy a router with an Ethernet slot probably the easiest and best way to conect to XboxLive.

    It won't work you have to have Ethernet directly from your modem into your xbox, or a router that has a MTU that can be changed. (Xbox does this automatically) Some routers MTU cannot be changed. I had this problem resulting in me buying new router...
