    Default Need some advice...

    Ok so yea..

I have this boyfriend, we have been together for about 8 months now and we love each other to bits! (I know he does). But he went out clubbin for easter the other week and I never went, then last nite this guy told me he cheated on me and was all over this other girl.

It really shocked me because it came from no where its not like we argued or that anythings changed and I didnt think he was like that. Anyway I asked my BF about it last night and he said nothing happened but got really anoyed with the person who was saying it.

Alot of my friends just talk rubbish and most of the time, its not true and they have there facts wrong (my so called friends have told my bf before I've cheated on him when I haven't).

So yea but if my bf didn't cheat on me I can't figure out why that guy would lie to me because he has nothing against either of us. So I'm in a pickle... I mean even if he did cheat on me I would give him another chance.

But yea I do believe what my bf says, but from what I've told you lot... do I sound completely stupid for believing my boyfriend?

Advice and your comments would be much appreciated.

If I were you, I would verify with that friend that told you that your boyfriend was cheating on. If he/she is very sure, check with your boyfriend, state that you would give him another chance. Just don't make it sound too over reactive. Just find a nice calm environment and just talk. If not, you could also ask the person who he supposedly hit on.

    Good luck.

Maybe "this guy" Told you that he was cheating on you because he wants to get closer to you?

If you do love each other "to bits" then your boyfriends word should be good enougth but I understand that there is always a little bit of doubt. You just need to have a conversation with your boyfriend about what he did on that night, ask him to look you in the eyes and tell you what he did.

If he can't or he hesitates then... I'm sorry.
    Goodluck!

I agree with other comments, you need to sit him down and have a proper chat about this, tell him you want the truth & i'd also ask this guy who has nothing against you if he was just messing about just in case hes like your mates and talks "rubbish" aswell.

Go down on the friend. Won't help much but he'll appreciate it.

Well you said yourself that your friends can often just play random jokes or whatever and tell your partner you've been cheating - so whos to say that they arn't just doing it again?

I think you really need to have a long, hard think and decide how much you trust your boyfriend. If you think you know him as well as you do, then you'll know whether or not he's lying to you.

At the end of the day though, your having doubts. If a relationship is to be successful there cannot be such doubts, and I therefore feel you need to sit down with your boyfriend and have a chat about this. Tell him it's not that you don't believe him - you just don't understand why exactly his friend would say that to you. Tell him it's obviously made you worry a bit, and if he can't realise that then tell him to imagine he was in your position and he should soon see.

Like I say though, you need to decide whether or not you can just forget this, trust your boyfriend and move on - or whether it's going to be at the back of your mind and ultimately is going to effect your relationship for the remainder of it...
