Default Online Radios to pay Royalty fees

If you look at this article:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6562823.stm

It says that online radio broadcasters will have to pay Royalty fees for every song they play.

It will be effective from 2010 and only US but could come to the UK.

All I can say is bye to all the free radios that are streamed.

(Please note, Didn't read entire artical so this information could be incorrect)

All people will do is move to servers located out side of the US, there will always be a way of doing online radios.

You've always had to pay royalties. It's just hardly anyone did.

    This is just an increase.

We have 3 years! Most of us will not be listening to Habbo radios by then. Plus they will just use servers outside of the US. And i doubt that they will bring it to the UK. Thanks for info though!

I'm sure the governement don't care about Habbo sites owned by people that go on to the "Online Radios" section and say:

COULD I HAVE 10000000 LISTENERS AT 2000 KBPS PLZZ WITH CONTORL PANEL
    And someone replies with:

I CAN DO IT ON MY RESELLER FOR 10 HCS. CHECK PM FOR MORE!!
They'll probably aim for sites like Pandora, Last.fm, etc.

Actually I'm pretty sure there's a huge petition going on to try and stop that bill - and it hasn't actually been passed yet has it?

I believe it's just been submitted....?
