Online play is coming soon I think. There is a demo of the Wii which they showed before it was released, and I think it did show a few channels which looked interesting. Some were games from the shopping channel though.

Hopefully a demo channel is coming soon.
Online is coming in June with Pokemon Battle Revolution and Mario Strikers Charged soon after it.

But there is a new 'Mii Popularity' type channel where you vote on the best Miis. that has been confirmed but there isn't a lot of info about it.
