Need help with a game i am playin

I have been playing on Spyro - Shadow legacy [DS]
and i have got to the point where u have to beat the shadow minion thing in the castle. I have tried everything to defeat it but nothing seems to work. if any1 could tell me how to beat it and it works i would be greatfull.

Which one? There are two or three, I forget, I did it a while ago.

If it's the first one, the ice minion...
avoid his attacks by running out of the way, wait 'til his hits his sword into the ground...then while it's on the ground, flame breath the sword until it melts
then switch to shadow reald, jump, glide to avoid the claw attacks, then his claw will be on the ground...charge his claw as much as you can, might have to do it a few times. then he'll fall on the ground, charge him again and he'll die.
you NEED to be in the shadow realm for the charge to do any damage.

Yeah, I must admit, I really liked it.
There are other shadow minion things, but they mostly follow the saem pattern...I think the other one you have to do similar, but instead use ice breath.
The final battle is pretty grrovy though! took me a few attempts
