Dog question

I got a 6Month old Cairn terrier, and was woundering if getting another small dog was a good idea? He loves playing with them in the park, somtimes he's a little lonely and I don't really know if I should, also, how do you put two dogs together?

I had 2 staffs, one is 15 and one is 3 and i recently got another staff now 11 weeks old and they were fine with eachova straight away, My oldest dog straight away took on the motherly role and my other dog just likes to play with it.

If its a male then you should try early on. 6 Months should be okay ish.

Because after about 9-12 months they get terrotorial or however you spell it. And its like rabbits. Introduce another dog into the house and they may not get along. Fight ect. But seen as it seems to be young then it should be alright.

If its a female it should be alright with a new companion

if your going to do it at any age now is the best age.
its much more easier to introduce pets to eachother at a young age.
