-Draw a Square with sides of 1 cm.
-Draw 2 parallel lines extending from the top and bottom.
-Draw a line from the midpoint of the bottom side of the square to the top right hand corner (of the square).
-Draw a quarter of a circle starting from the top right hand corner, with a radius the same as the opposite straight line (the line from the midpoint to the top right hand corner).
-Extend a vertical line from the bottom of the quarter circle until it hits the top parallel line.


QUestion: what is the distance of the Top side of the rectangle?

Okay a redo of the question..

Draw a square (sides of 1cm)

Extend two parallel sides

Draw a line from the midpoint of one side of the square to the opposite corner

using the line you just drew as a radius, draw an arc between the two parallel lines.

Draw a perpendicular line from between the parallel lines from the intersection of the arc on the bottom line

QUESTION: What is the other side's distance and what is the rectangle formed called?
