    1. Depends where the server is hosted
    2. Yes really but they won't target Habbo Fansites, it would be pointless. Most only get around 50 Listeners. Its only ones like ClubHabbo that get 300+ that need to think about one.

So, do ClubHabbo, BobbleFM, HabboHut etc.. have licences?

What if they did catch me. Would I get fined or just asked to remove it first?

HabboHut is hosted in Canada i think, where you don't need licenses.
I don't know about ClubHabbo or BobbleFM. They probably don't bother. If they get asked to stop broadcasting they'd probably just buy a license.

    Also if they caught you:

    1. E-mail or Mail to ask you to cease and decist.
    2. Contact Host
    3. Take to court.

As long as you comply with the first one by, a.) buying a license or b.) stopping broadcasting then you won't have a problem. But i'd just go for it

About 99.9% of habbo fansites won't have a radio license.

Well as long as you legally own the music you play (which most habbo dj's dont) then you're fine.

Also if ur in the US you might have to start paying per song/listener!

Incorrect. Even if you legally own the music, it doesn't mean you have the right to play it in public. It's like how real radios have to pay royalties to artists.

Not as i am aware, you just need permission from the artists who are singing the songs you want to play.

In a real life station though you do, to make it all legit.

You need permission from the governement, the artist have diddly poop to do with it, everyone thinks you need the artists permission.

You do need an internet broadcasting license if you would like to broadcast copyrighted music on your website, but there is very little chance that you will be caught. It also depends where you servers are located.

I'm located in Canada, so are my SHOUTcast servers.

Been using SHOUTcast for 3 years and I've had no trouble.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
