    Some guy just reported a -rep i gave him because he repped me to like lol give me rep back.

    Is there any point in -rep?

    This has been brought up before, and it seems everyone disagrees on the proper usage of negative reputation. The way, it seems, to ensure that negative reputation is fair is to:
    • Not swear, or be rude.
    • Give it based on somebody's post, e.g. for breaking rules - nothing else.
    • Never give reputation just because the user 'repped' you,
