Default Changing user options - Recovery question/answer needed

Right, to update my options, I need to provide my recovery answer...

But, there's no question (should there be?) and I can't remember my answer considering I joined in Sep '04...

So I can't update my options...

Recovery message can be anything that you can remember and others cannot guess. Its just a bit of validation for us so we know you are the real owner of the account if you lose the pass or anything like that .

I think that he means that he cannot change his options without answering the recovery question? I didn't even know we had a recovery question, is that new?

Its not asking you for the answer, it wants you to input an answer. That's just a random phrase that you should write down (in RL) and if you ever lose the account you can retrieve it with that. Its not asking for the answer I don't think, it wants you to give one.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.
