Default On a plane on my own, kinda worried..

    Hello everyone

In the summer, I shall be going to South West Ireland on a plane (to see family). Thats great, however, im going on a plane on my own which is what im worried about. Im leaving at London Stanstead to Shannon via Aer Lingus. I have been before on my own, and it was rather scary.. My nan drove me to the airport, and came in with me and she couldnt go with me past the bit where you go through the metal detector. I walked through with a drink and I thought they wouldnt notice but, they did, and they threw it away :p I went around for like 20 minuites, lost, and then finally got on the plane. You might ask yourself "He has went before, so why is he worried now?" Because I hate planes and the thought of getting lost and suppousing there was a... terrorist attack..

Btw, im not nuts, im just worrying a bit..

Anyone went on a plane by theirselves before? And where too, and what was it like. Was you worried about anything?

Thanks, and im doing this post because im wondering, and it isint spam.

    Sincerely,
    Typo x

the chances of something happening to the plane are very low.

& obviously they would notice you taking a drink through, its their job to make sure everything is in order. & i have been on a plane, many times and i wasnt worried about anything because i know nothing will happen.

Have you ever wondered why car crashes are never on TV but plan crashes are? Its because car crashes happen daily and there is a much larger chance you will be involved in them than a plane crash. Plane crashes are only on the news mainly as they happen so rarely and partially for the fact so many people are involved if a crash occurs. The chances of a crash are very slim and flying is the safest form of travel I believe. You have nothing to worry about, even when there are plane crashes, normally some people survive and with 1000s of plans taking off every day all around the country I highly doubt your one would crash. Don't worry.. Also security has tightened up allot since 9/11 so its unlikely there would be an attack also its more likely to take place in America and also its very rare to happen your probably more likely to get shot whilst in your car to be honest.

    No there not.
But Its perfectly safe. I have flown many times alone since I was 9. Contact the airline for help when flying alone 2 weeks ahead. Also in most cases if there is an emergency the crew will get you on the ground safely.

Flying is still the safest way to travel
