Poem For Luke (Please read)

To Luke.. (Lukeisok)


We can discus anything, from movies to weekends.
We can tell each other anything, about loved ones or friends.
We can confide in each other, about tears that we let run,
We can be so deadly serious, or we can have such fun.

I will keep your secrets forever, and until the end,
Whenever it is broken, your heart I will help mend.
We’ll laugh along together, I’ll cry along with you,
We’ll listen to each other, because that’s what friends do.

So Luke, my sweetie, don’t you cry alone,
Although I can’t be at your side, I’ll be on the phone.
Or I’ll come online and hear, what’s upsetting you,
Then I’ll give you advice, and confide in you too.

I’ll listen to your jokes, and laugh even if they’re bad.
I’ll give you a virtual hug, if you’re feeling sad.
I’ll email you at any time, I’ll tell you anything,
So my angel if you’re falling, I’ll take you under my wing.

We’ll fly up high together, and ride upon the clouds,
Up where the pain can’t get us, and the sunshine falls in shrouds.
Away from our normal darkened world, where we can hide away,
When you read this little poem, think ‘It will be ok.’

So read this when your feeling down, and tell me what you think,
I hope you like this Luke; it’s our friendship down in ink.
So smile when you read it, and I can smile along with you,
And that will make our amity, all a bit more true.

You tell me things, I tell you things, and we answer each other’s prayers.
So if your upset and need an ear think ‘Jane will be there.’
This poem’s devoted to you my friend, to you and to you only,
Because although you live so far away, you’re there when I am lonely.

Luke, you’re the best friend anyone could ever ask for – Never change.
