Friend Codes [DS] Help pls

I just got my ds this morning and i got pokemon pearl and animal crossing. I read both the instruction manuels but i dont know where to get the friend codes from

where do I get them?

Pokemon you go to the lower level of the pokemon center in the 2nd or 3rd city to get your friend code, with AC go up till you reach your gate, go in and talk to the guy on the right I think
