We have added THREE NEW Traxpacks to the Habbo Club Shop today! These new releases will be available to Habbo Club members only for one full week. After this time they will be moved to the main Traxstore for everyone and three more new Traxpacks will be made available in the Habbo Club Shop!

The new releases don't stop there either. Keep your eyes on the homepage this week as we will be announcing the opening of a Hotel Traxstore where you can trade Habbo Staff with Habbo Exchange currency for a previously unreleased Traxpack! More news on this coming Thursday!


Keep an eye out for a Rare addition to the Habbo Catalogue tomorrow afternoon. It will only be making a VERY brief appearance tomorrow ahead of it's full release which is later in the week!


Two new Masterclasses have been added today! Get to grips with 2 new genres of Trax music and replicate our examples which you can later remix to create your own great tunes!

Ambient
The idea of Ambient music was born in the early 20th century with the search for music that could 'be in the background' at dinner parties. In the 1950s there was music constructed from real-world sounds. Composer Brian Eno made first used the term 'ambient music' in his 1978 release Ambient 1: Music For Airports.

Habbo/8bit
Habbo Hotel's graphical style is reminiscent of old C64 and Atari computer games. Habbo's pixel-style is very recognisable and so the Habbo sound and music has a similar retro approach. In music this means the use of limited polyphony, simple melodies, clearly synthetic instruments and 4bit or 8bit lo-fi sounds.

Speaking of R U Thinking?, Askimo, Waitamo and Advisimo have been here for a while now and seem to have selected in nicely. If you haven't met them yet why not pop down to the Adviceberg one Tuesday or Thursday afternoon from 4 and say hello. You might also run into MOD-Hope, one of our newer Mods (not as new as MOD-Borat though!) make sure you give them all a hearty welcome should you come across them on your travels!


The boyband Bros once sang "When will I, will I be famous?" Well, for them it turned out to be for a year or two several decades ago (*sigh* I feel old) but for you it could be Right here, Right NOW! You will probably have already noticed that the Habbo Charts has moved to a new time slot - this is to give more Habbos a chance at stardom! Every day of the week 5 talented Habbo traxmeister's get a debut in the Hub Club when they top the Habbo Charts. Our Chart topper gets to headline in the main Hub Club room, with hits 2-5 linked to the various staff members room.

Our number one also gets a VIP badge for the day so they really get the full fame experience! From now on the Chart judging will be taking place at 4.45pm so make sure your Trax tune is phat and you're room is jumping by then! Good luck all.

Whats more, once a week we announce the Habbo Charts Top 10 - every Tuesday at 4:45pm (BST) Lostie and/or myself will be checking the Habbo Charts floor for the most popular Trax rooms and the ten busiest will be featured in the Weekly Chart and will have a link to their room onsite for a whole week! The Top 5 will also get the glory of being Tuesday's daily Habbo Chart stars featured in the Hub Club! Why Tuesday? Because Tuesday is the new Friday daah-ling (note: coffee is NOT the new Tea however!) every Tuesday at 4pm Habbo becomes party central and this week the party will be Deer themed - so grab your antlers and join me there, but don't get your dancing shoes either!
