It says there like 20 different things you can add but only like 3 places you can build?

For example theres no where i can build a cooker

you have to build rooms like a kitchen for a cooker

another good guide to use is the one on tip.it , they have an extensive database that can show you what you can make at each level in every room and from the different materials.
