This thread is in no way meant to cause offence and if any arguments break out or stuff it'll just get closed, lol.
I was thinking about how on Big Brother and stuff is anyone says the "P" word which is classed as racist, they would definitely be kicked out. However, I know loads of people who use the word - not in an offensive way.
For instance, they may just say "I'm going to the [word]" - in reference to their local corner shop...
Or like describe someone's race as [word]... Obviously that isn't politically correct, but many people simply class it as an abbreviation.
Therefore, I was just wondering whether this is a common term which people use around the country in a non-offensive way, but in every day language.
